I AM WORE OUT ON E-COMMERCE!

Apr. 26th, 2007 | 12:26 pm

Oh my goodness!  I have spent so many hours, days even months reading and going through newsletters, blogs and emails that are a bunch of JUNK!  I have had it!  Most, and I am talking nearly 90% are full of crap with nothing useful or let me say, nothing that we haven't already found ourselves through research.  Some of these marketers go as far as treating us like idiots and others want us to be gullible enough to buy their crap that will do absolutely nothing for our business.  All I can say is just be careful out there. Watch what you buy from these marketers, afilliations and the like.  Whew, I mean I am wore out trying to dig through the mess, unsubscribing from the absolutely ridiculous and I am one that will stand up for the little guys and tell them to watch out and back off. We have small businesses and all you want to do is to take the little bit of money that we do have that ends up as an empty promise!
Do I feel better?  No!  There is still so much white paper to go through it really does just make an "intelligent" person's head spinning!

April 2007

Apr. 9th, 2007 | 05:39 pm

For all of you small business owners out there you only have up to the 20th of April to get your taxes paid!

I do hope that all of you made enough to even pay taxes!  In my starting years I recall some quarters where I had to file zero because that's exactly how much I pulled in for that quarter!  If you never experienced that than you my friend have the midas touch.

I do hope all had a good Easter.  I did notice that there was not much action or buying of goods that day.  I was hoping that today, Monday, would have made up for it but alas, it to was an extremely slow day.

I did get some profitable work accomplished.  Working together with distributors of new products.  That is so very essential to your web site no matter what you are selling.  You must always keep your site updated.  If you just leave it the same your customers will feel that you have not been to the site yourself in some time and horribly enough they may feel or think that you just do not care.  Well that would be bad for business.

Any business comments are more than welcome or just make sure you stop by and read a bit.

mood: determined

Hello all.
I apologize for being away but at times my disabilities limit me and my body as to what I can do which creates a rage between my body and mind.  My mind continues with the wanting to do but my body and it's evil diseases try to rule me and my mind like and evil being.

This makes for very hard days to try to stay upright, to continue to work as hard as possible for my web store which means the world to me.  Everyone/anyone who works outside of or inside of the home, it does not matter.  When you have those days where you feel so sick that you just cannot stand up and have to call into work;  that let's you know just a tiny bit of the pain that I must deal with on a daily basis from a stroke I had that has left me with severe pain from every nerve ending in my body.  Trust me, there is NO medication that helps with that.

That's not the hardest part.  I work all I can every day to keep my web store going, marketing like a mongoose on Red Bull just to try and get customers.  The hard part is the weeks of each month that I get Lupus flare ups on top of the severe pain.  That will knock the strongest person down to the floor.  You can will all you want but the more you resist the worse it will get.

I am so thankful that I still have my mind and the ability to think and reason.  For as you know, there is a disease that can come along and take that away as well but for now I will use my strengths to their fullest advantage so that I may build a prosperous business that will make me beam with such pride.  Because as we all know:

At the End of the Day, you have got to know and feel that you have done right by you and those around you.
The above is my book that I started writing as a journal while my world was turning into a living hell and was so unbelievable that by the insisting of many people, had it published.  If you would like to peak inside my private journal, and who doesn't like to do that, you can order my book:  http://www.itallmakesscentsinc.com/book.html
This book is small and only costs $9.99.  Very affordable.

When you have read my book you will know what I mean when I sign off as the above;  At the End of the Day.  Live well, Love much and

 Laugh Often!!!!

First off, I would like to send out a thank you to my new friends!  Thank you so much!

Finding a small business community to be a part of has been quite hard to find.  My web store:  www.itallmakesscentsinc.com   is my life since I am disabled and not able to work outside my home.

Trying to run a small business to make it grow so that it can bring in income is really, really hard.

I watch, research and read so many blogs, emails and such that are just buy this product to help you with your business;  1 time thing.  In and out.  That's how most are making their money.  Just this side of being a scam but able to make it legal.  Selling a product to all of us small business people who they hope will bite on their product which then turns out to be of no useful help whatsoever and of course they come out with a lot of money.  No, I mean A LOT OF MONEY!   Then you track these people and they aren't shy, they are boasting how much they made and then want to sell to you how they did it so you can be as rich as they are!!

Not much reason left for those of us trying to run a store on the internet because for some reason we can't run a brick and mortar store.  Not that we wouldn't like to!

Soooo, off to do more research to see what it is that will bring more customers to my store, let alone hope that they come back as repeat buyers.

I do hope that whatever you are doing in your life is working out and my your days in your life prosper.

Feb. 23rd, 2007 | 01:09 pm

Finishing up a work week and it has had it's ups and downs.  So what's new.  I think that everyone whether they work at home or at a desk in a business would agree with me on this one.

There are times in a week where just like above, you just don't want to hear or see because if you do you just might say something you regret or perhaps you just might spew!

Here's hoping that everyone has a wonderful well deserved weekend. As for me, I will stil be working.  Hoping, holding my breath and praying that the work continues to come in to keep my little shop afloat:

I will be doing my research, continuing to learn all that I can because if you are honest to yourself, you can never learn it all.  There is just so much to learn about working at home with a small business.  Hhhhmmm, small business.  Okay terminology but every time I have to say it or write it would be nice to no longer say that I am a "small business"!  Woohoo, how great that would be and a goal that I will strive for.

My 5 minute break is up and I must leave for now but if you can it would be great if you could visit my web store and the best marketing, word of mouth.  You sending on my web site link to family and friends.

While sliding down the bannister of life, may the splinters be pointed in the opposite direction,

TRYING TO WORK FROM HOME.....

Feb. 21st, 2007 | 02:17 pm

www.itallmakesscentsinc.com

I have been working at home since 2005 as disabled but I opened my above web store in 6/2003.
I think everyone with a web store would agree the hardest thing would be marketing and yet possibly the easiest thing is to have a great, genius webmaster.  A great relationship with understanding makes the world of a difference running your web site.  On the other hand, while your genius webmaster is creatively designing your store you at the same time are doing a lot and I do mean a lot of research on marketing and trying to keep up on all the new ideas to stay in the mainstream just to stay and remain competitive.
I started at 9:00 am this morning and it's now 2:30 pm;  the time when I can take a small break to write in my journal.  Time to make myself eat a bite for lunch.  Most days it's just mainly drink a lot of water until the hubby arrives home and we can eat dinner around 6:30 or 7:00.  Which most times I am still working away at the computer and usually do not stop until 7:30-8:00 pm each night.
Your business is only worth as much blood, sweat and tears you put into it.  Wouldn't you agree?
This week I am trying a new edge on my site so I am sitting (well pacing) waiting, holding my breath like anyone else who tries a new marketing strategy, praying that it pans out and works.
When you are a small business, you struggle.  You struggle with bringing in the money so that you will not be in the red each week and month.  Right?!  I have enjoyed sitting here with you for this small break and hope that we can do it again soon.  Keep your chins up and your nose down while reading the research.  Something will click and it will be so worth it,

It's the Weekend but work is required!

Feb. 10th, 2007 | 09:41 pm

The weekend has started but when you are trying to maintain a web store it takes a lot of hours and creative thinking 24/7 to stay on top of all the competition that is out there.
The web site is always in a state of change so that it can stay fresh and new for customers. Not stale and seems as if it was just thrown up and no one is actually maintaining the site itself. If you are creative then you would definitely do good and enjoy this part of the business.
The weekend also means it is time to prepare a new newsletter for our loyal customers that have signed up at the site to receive promotions of new products and discounts.
If you would like to be a loyal member, we would love to have you. Please go to: www.itallmakesscentsinc.com and sign up for our newsletter on the left side bar.
Most of all, if you go to my site and really like it, tell all your friends and family to also come and visit the site in order to purchase our great quality products.
The customer testimonials will let you know that you will not be disappointed.
Time to sign off; make sure that I have told my husband that I love him today and hug Roxi our 10 year old doberman. Yes it's great to be your own boss and run a business but never forget the precious things in your life. To me it's my wonderful husband, family & friends.
I would to hear from a lot of you so if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to send them in.

Let's start this thing!

Feb. 9th, 2007 | 06:35 pm

Today, 2/9/07. End of the week but in no way time to stop the mind of thinking of new and exciting ways to update the web store and how to market it to the millions of shoppers that are on the internet. Whew, what a task in itself!

So far, I have answered emails, done 2 loads of clothes, spoke with family members on the tele who want to check in on me to make sure I am okay.

Oh yea, this is the point where I need to let you know that I am disabled with 3 auto-immune diseases, one that causes Lupus like flare ups and unimaginable pain given to me by a stroke in the thalamus and it is called Intractable Pain Disease aka Central Pain Syndrome....okay enough about that today.

Midday and I was able to get this LJ up and running. Still have quite a bit to work on with the customizing and the photo gallery. Even so, I wanted to take a moment and post an entry.

Please, do take the time to visit my web store:
www.itallmakesscentsinc.com, check it out, review it and please feel free to look around and purchase any gifts that you just love!
